Prepare your skin for a more effective exfoliation

It has been said for ages toner works by restoring skin’s pH. That worries us at Joddor London because it means that your cleanser is weakening your cutaneous barrier, so you need another product to restore the damage. For that reason, our cleanser and toner have an acidic pH of 5.5, you guessed it, like your skin.

​Balancing Anti-impurity System does not need to restore the pH because the cleanser does not unbalance it. Our toner helps other ingredients to penetrate deeper within the skin in the following way:

  • With an acidic pH, increasing skin's permeability.

  • The addition of citric acid acts as a mild keratolytic, helping the Cleanser to remove dead skin cells, enhancing penetration.

  • Hamamelis Virginiana removes excess oil, controlling sebum production, and minimizing enlarged pores. To reduce the oily layer means more active ingredients will find their way towards the deep layers within the skin.

BENEFITS

Most astringent toners dry out the skin. Joddor’s Balancing Anti-impurity System toner sorts this problem out with the addition of:

Glycerin that retains water, keeping hydration. Your skin builds up a barrier against irritation and water loss.

Hamamelis is a friendly ingredient, ideal even for the most sensitive skins. In those skins, Hamamelis also helps contracting blood vessels, reducing redness on the face.

Sage is another “key ingredient.” It reduces inflammation in both sensitive and acne skin. It is also anti-bacterial, being highly effective in fighting p. acnes bacteria, therefore clearing up acne. It helps regulate the production of melanin, so it begins with the blemish lightening process.

PRODUCT APPLICATION

Apply 3 or 4 mist sprays onto cotton pads and lightly wipe over the surface of the face, neck, and décolleté, after cleansing.

You could spray directly on the skin, but the cotton pads will help you remove excess oil and impurities more effectively.

PROFESSIONAL ADVISE

You can turn Balancing Anti-impurity System into the prep solution of a professional chemical peel, at home.

With a cotton pad moistened in toner, clean the full face insisting on problematic areas.

AHAs are soluble in water, do not work when the skin’s surface is oily. The more oil you remove, the better the glycolic acid will work and more effective the peeling will be.
